Very early in life, when Pujya Swamiji used to visit Andhra Ashram in Rishikesh, Swami Shuddhanandaji felt spiritually drawn to him and remained close to Pujya Swamiji ever since — and, as the saying goes, the rest is history.
Swamiji attended to every small detail, like a mother, to make Pujya Swamiji's stay comfortable whenever he visited the Ashram. Swami Shuddhanandaji is the architect of the present-day Swami Dayananda Ashram, Rishikesh. If only they could speak, every brick of the Ashram would sing hymns of Swami Shuddhanandaji.
Swamiji had also built a dedicated team of people who serve the Ashram round the clock, catering to the spiritual, religious, and other needs of devotees, pilgrims, and all who come. Most devotees knew Swamiji personally, and he knew them all as well.
None of us can imagine Swami Dayananda Ashram, Rishikesh, without Swamiji's presence. Swamiji was always keen to make room for the books of Arsha Vidya Research and Publication Trust. We can all see that Swamiji allocated a prime place in the Ashram for our books, and we shall remain ever grateful to him for this.
We shall cherish his memory whenever we pray at Pujya Swamiji's adhisthanam or at Sri Gangadhareshvara temple, for the two are inseparable.
