The Isavasya Upanishad – part of the Sukla Yajurveda – is among the shortest yet most-commented Upanisads, considered the scriptural basis of karma yoga in the Bhagavad Gita. Its opening mantra, ‘Isavasyam idam sarvam yat kinca jagatyam jagat’, declares that “all this, whatsoever moves in this moving world, is pervaded by Isvara.” It calls on us to see the Lord as the very being of everything around us, dissolving our sense of separation and revealing the oneness underlying all existence.
