Shata Rudriya is like an Upanisad revealing the truth of jiva, the individual, jagat, the world and Ishvara, the Lord. Chanting of the Shata Rudriya is also considered one of the efficacious means to neutralize the result of wrong action. Even a renunciate, a sannyasi, is advised to recite this hymn daily with an understanding of the words and their implications to live a contemplative life.
